Zeb and Jochem in form in Roelofarendsveen

Zeb Beelen and Jochem Loos finished first and second in the 5km at the most recent Zorg en Zekerheid series race. In windy conditions, Zeb got a very nice time of 15:53, while Jochem, got a PB of 16:22. Zeb must have quite a library of gift-vouchers for all of the Zorg en Zekerheid races he has won. Jochem finished a good minute ahead of the third place finisher.

Jochem: ‘Zeb went out by himself and I didn’t really plan on trying to stay with him. I knew he was too fast for me. We had a head wind for about the first two kilometers and then, when we had the wind behind us, we couldn’t really profit it from it too much as it was in a bit more of a built up area. I was quite surprised with my time, because, I have recently returned from Aotearoa/New Zealand and had only done two track sessions. I am only running three or so times a week, but also doing a fair bit of cycling. This is the best way for me to avoid getting injured. It was particularly nice for me to get this time in my home town.’
